This is going to be an excellent conversation between Kavita Gonsalves and Tanya Golitschenko – two remarkable, energetic and impactful women. Both are leaders in larger practices, both are active in the Australian Institute of Architects, and both live their commitment to equity every day!
Tanya describes her passion as “challenging society to remember the outliers and standing up for those still finding their voice”. She is a principal at Hassell and recipient of the 2022 Queensland Emerging Architect Prize. Kavita’s PhD, Radical Placemaking, “explored the use of emerging technologies as tools for communities experiencing marginalization to engage in creative placemaking towards social sustainability goals of community connection and resiliency”. She is currently Sustainability Design Lead – APAC at Populous.
