Join us for the first Melbourne Salon of 2023 – a super special session with Suzanne Ewing and Julie Willis. See you at Brickworks, Thursday 23 February.

We are thrilled that Suzanne Ewing is visiting from Edinburgh, and delighted to welcome her to the Salon stage for a spirited conversation with Julie Willis. Suzanne and Julie both have extraordinary careers thus far. They are academic leaders, serious scholars who have made major contributions to researching and recognising the history of women in architecture, and great advocates for equity now! Both are also excellent story-tellers, with finely honed senses of humour. They will have a lot to talk about – this is going to be an excellent conversation!

Among their many other projects, Suzanne is a co-founder of Voices of Experience and Julie is co-author of Women in Australian Architecture, 1900–1950. Julie is currently Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning at the University of Melbourne. Suzanne is Professor of Architectural Criticism and former Head of the Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (ESALA) at the University of Edinburgh and co-founder of Zone Architects.
