Care in Healthcare
This session explores the care in healthcare with two significant researchers – Professor Julie Bernhardt, Director of the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Stroke Rehabilitation and Recovery, and Rhonda Kerr, health economist and health facilities planner – in conversation with conveners Kali Marnane and Rebecca McLaughlan.
We explore what it means to be an empathetic designer in healthcare settings and how design practitioners can help facilitate high level improvements in healthcare infrastructure. We consider how the design of facilities can best support healthcare services, staff, and patients and be more responsive to the challenges of climate change.
