The 2021 National Standard of Competency for Architects include new and expanded areas of knowledge, which must be incorporated into accredited architecture programs. Key among these are understanding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples’ relationship to Country.
In this webinar, Architects Accreditation Council of Australia (AACA) CEO Kathlyn Loseby will provide an overview of the 2021 NSCA before handing it over to Dr Danièle Hromek (Budawang/Yuin), author of the 2021 NSCA Explanatory Notes, and AACA National Advisory Panellist Sarah Lynn Rees (Palawa).
Danièle and Sarah will discuss the seven First Nations performance criteria – covering their definitions and how they can be demonstrated in student learning. The webinar will include a Q&A session moderated by Association of Architecture Schools of Australasia (AASA) President Dr John Doyle.
