Join DADo Film Society for Evenings with DADo – starting with a screening of City Dreamers on June 6, introduced by Tania Davidge.
City Dreamers is a 2018 documentary that delves into the significant contributions of four trailblazing women: Phyllis Lambert, Blanche Lemco van Ginkel, Denise Scott Brown, and Cornelia Hahn Oberlander. Featuring new interviews and archival materials, the documentary explores these women over several decades as influential designers, undertaking challenges such as density and heritage preservation in a male-orientated setting.
Tania Davidge – design advocate, architect and Executive Director at Open House Melbourne – opens the event with a short talk to intertwine film and conversation, opening discussions about historical and contemporary perspectives.
