Launceston Autumn Salon
13 March 2025
6—8pm
Join us for the first Launceston Seasonal Salon of 2025 – an lively conversation with Mia Larsen and Rosie Shield.

The 2025 Launceston Salon program kicks off with an engaging conversation between Mia Larsen and Rosie Shield about life and work in and around architecture and the built environment.
Rosie is Manager, Project Leader, Engagement + Content Developer at Designful Studio and its sister business, Homeful by Designful, where she works to provide reliable information and services to people that may not otherwise be able to engage with an architectural service. She is interested in increasing understanding of the nostalgic connections between people and landscape, alongside a strong focus of delivering affordable and robust housing.
Mia is a student at the University of Tasmania, with hands-on experience in bamboo and earth building. In 2023 she worked at Bamboo U in Bali as a designer, workshop organiser and teacher, and has been involved in bamboo and earth building projects in Vietnam and Australia.
After the public conversation it is over to you – catch up with friends and colleagues over refreshments. And meet someone you don’t already know!
