Join Parlour and The Findlay Project for the Hobart Spring Salon with Genevieve Lilley and Nina Hamilton – see you on Tuesday 17 September at Brickworks.

We are delighted to welcome Genevieve Lilley and Nina Hamilton for an energetic and engaging conversation about life and work in and around architecture and the built environment. Convened by Nicky Adams, the Salon is held in collaboration with The Findlay Project and hosted by Brickworks.

Genevieve founded her own practice 26 years ago in London, after seven years working with Sir David Chipperfield. She has worked on adaptive reuse projects in NSW and Tasmania for the last 20 years and, in that period, designed fine jewellery by commission. Nina is a photographer with a background in architecture. Having worked in architectural practice and education in Brisbane and Uganda, Nina returned to Hobart in 2013 and shifted her focus to photography. She has been photographing weddings and events for the past eight years – including many Parlour Salons. She handles social media and comms for the Australia Institute of Architects Tasmanian and International Chapters and is currently undertaking a PhD, exploring architecture, photography and tourist practices within the Tasmanian context.

Come along for this excellent public conversation, then it is over to you – catch up with friends and colleagues, meet new people, build new networks and revive older ones. And simply enjoy the company of some of the great people of Hobart architecture and the built environment, all over refreshments.

Note: Genevieve and Nina have stepped in to speak at this Salon at short notice – thanks! The scheduled conversation between Gabby Phillips and Lucy Burke-Smith will be held later in the year – we will keep you posted about that one!
