Parlour ANNEXE supports the Parlour community to come together in self-organised groups with shared interests. It provides a structure within which people can gather to champion ideas and agendas, share knowledge and create camaraderie and mutual support, and a platform for action.
Aims
Parlour ANNEXE aims are:
- To support people within the Parlour community to come together to advocate / collaborate/ catch up / champion agendas
- To facilitate welcoming and safe spaces for our communities to flourish
- To harness and build collective knowledge
- To increase opportunities for participation and extend Parlour’s reach and impact.
Parlour ANNEXE is an extension of Parlour, where we hold a space for our community to come together to form their own groups, each with a particular topic of interest. We encourage a broad range of topics, from Mahjong to Menopause, Sonnets to Social Impact, Networking to Neurodiversity.
Parlour ANNEXE co-ordinator
Parlour ANNEXE is led by Lauren Jeans, with support from the Parlour team. Lauren is an architect based in Adelaide. She is former co-chair of EmAGN SA – in this capacity she set up Archibubs and Beers with Peers. She has excellent experience of getting people together and making things happen, and will be a fantastic guide and supporter of the Parlour ANNEXE groups.

Of course. Follow the Conveners Guide, and if still unsure, reach out and we will arrange a catch up with you to come up with a plan.
Reach out, and we will help spread the word. Parlour has a wonderful, extensive community, and we would love to put you in touch with like-minded people.

Consider the original purpose of the group and if that’s still the intention. Parlour Annexe groups and initiatives are organic and ever changing – maybe you’ve achieved all you had hoped for? Maybe the purpose of the group has changed course? Maybe some new group members are required to bring some new energy? Parlour will support you however we can, and encourage you to reach out if you’re ever in doubt.
