Five storeys up, in an existing building, this project provides a home for the Atlantic Fellows for Social Equity (AFSE), an Indigenous-led social change fellowship program based at the University of Melbourne. The project aims to embed cultural values within the design in a ways that embraces AFSE’s aspirations.

Sarah leads an engaging discussion with clients and colleagues about how the values that govern AFSE’s programs informed the design of their new home, which was designed collaboratively with JCB. The speakers discuss the importance of researching and understanding Country while, at the same time, creating a place that Indigenous peoples from neighbouring Countries, near and far, can find cultural connections in a place far away from home.

This is an uplifting, joyful session with people who clearly love working together.
