On Career Sponsorship
Sponsorship can make an enormous difference to an individual’s career development, range of project experience, personal networks and confidence, but in architecture these relationships largely occur in an informal or ad hoc way, and are often limited to a select few.
Sponsorship means advocating for others in the forums and spaces that they may not have access to, and with people who may be unfamiliar with their skills and talents. It means using your connections, influence and power to support others. This session will explore how sponsorship can be used to help develop and support the careers of underrepresented groups. Our speakers will discuss the opportunities and pitfalls, and share lessons learned.
To complement this session, listen to The Last Mile podcast and watch the Light at the End of the Tunnel session on Sponsorship with Natalie Galea and Sophie Olsen.

One hour of formal CPD is available for each session, on completion of the CPD questions. Questions will be emailed following booking. See the learning objectives for the series as a whole.
Once completed, you will receive an email from Google forms with your responses. Please keep this – it provides the evidence of attendance and completion. Please note, separate CPD certificates will not be issued. If you can’t find the email, remember to check your spam folder.
