Watch our Light at the End of the Tunnel session looking at cultural change in construction and what we might learn from work underway – with Alison Mirams and Natalie Galea. Access CPD below.

Alison Mirams is CEO of Roberts Pizzarotti, a Sydney-based construction firm at the forefront of cultural and organisational change. She is a strong advocate for women and is committed to improving mental health in an industry plagued by challenges.

This includes trialling the five-day work week on the Concord Hospital site in Sydney. The outcome of a non-conforming bid, this project aims to demonstrate how better workplace practices can improve mental health and wellbeing, and increase productivity and building quality. Natalie Galea is conducting a study into the impacts of the program as part of her wider research and action on equity in the construction industry.

Watch the conversation to find out more about how the project came about, how it is going, and what lessons we might learn for ongoing cultural change in our own contexts.
