Celebrate the start of summer with the launch party of MSDx on 21 November as the Melbourne School of Design transforms into a vibrant gallery space. The free exhibition will run from 22 November to 6 December.
From the basement to the rooftop, the University of Melbourne’s iconic Glyn Davis Building will be transformed into a gallery full of ideas and inspiration. Over two weeks, attendees will be invited to reimagine the future of the built environment through a collection of installations, models, drawings and video works. Explore the unique perspectives of students across a range of disciplines, including architecture, urban design, urban planning, construction and landscape architecture.
The evening will kick off with a traditional Smoking Ceremony followed by activations, talks and workshops. The Speakers Corner returns with 10-minute talks from students and researchers, while designX fills the basement with 700-plus capstone projects by graduating Bachelor of Design students.
Experience one of the country’s largest design exhibitions alongside food trucks, drinks and beats. Meet a new generation of designers, planners and builders, whose work redefines our understanding of the spaces we inhabit and the forces that shape them.
