Join the WikiD / Women’s Art Register winter edit-a-thon in Melbourne on 20 July. Let’s get even more women into Wikipedia! Come along to learn how to get started, or simply edit together.
Drop in as suits you over the afternoon. Refreshments will be provided, along with assistance. If you are new to Wikipedia come along at 1pm for an express Wikimedia tutorial with Pru Mitchell, President of Wikimedia Australia.
Please do a couple of things before coming along:
- Please sign up to get a Wikipedia user name BEFORE the event, if you don’t already have one. Do this here.
- Once you have an account, please email womensartregister@gmail.com for communications before, during and after the event, and to track the work we get done on the day.
- Think about who you want to write about – if possible collect some reference material. See here for topic suggestions and here for Australian references.
