Please read and follow the etiquette and terms and conditions. These guide participation in the Parlour ANNEXE and subsidiary groups. They help to ensure we are creating safe and inclusive environments for all.

Etiquette

Parlour encourages robust, open discussion. This should focus on the content and ideas at stake. Do be polemical and forthright, but please be respectful. Negative personal comment about individuals is not appropriate.

Parlour ANNEXE participants should not air inappropriate, inaccurate or offensive content on Parlour platforms or in forums and discussions. Parlour Inc reserves the right to remove group members who do not observe this etiquette. We do not expect such circumstances to arise. See also Parlour Etiquette.

Terms & Conditions

Participation in the Parlour ANNEXE is subject to the following terms and conditions.

Eligibility

  • Parlour ANNEXE is a benefit of being part of the Parlour Collective. To be eligible to participate in Parlour ANNEXE, you must be part of the Parlour Collective. This can be an individual membership, or under a company or organisation membership. Your connection to the Collective will be reviewed when you express an interest in joining a Parlour ANNEXE group.

Rules

  • All proposed groups will be reviewed by Parlour to ensure the intentions align with Parlour values.
  • Parlour ANNEXE groups are a safe space to discuss a variety of topics and ideas.  Please be respectful. See Etiquette guidelines above.

Not endorsement

  • We encourage open discussion and sharing opinions.  However, being part of the Parlour ANNEXE groups does not imply Parlour Inc’s endorsement of the participants or their actions.

Intellectual property

  • Use of the Parlour marque or logo is available and must comply with branding guidelines. Unless expressly provided, Parlour ANNEXE participants are not granted other rights or licence to copyrights, trademarks or other intellectual property (see Parlour Collective Fine Print).

Sponsorship

  • Should the requirement for sponsorship arise, please contact Parlour. Do not initiate potential sponsorship discussions prior to speaking to Parlour. Sponsorship is managed by Parlour.

Copyright and credit

  • Content or initiatives created by the group should correctly credit the authors and Parlour Inc.

Liability

  • Parlour ANNEXE participants will not hold Parlour Inc liable for any tangible or intangible damage that might happen to them while participating in the program.
  • The participant agrees that Parlour Inc cannot guarantee any results from their involvement in the Parlour ANNEXE. Any negative or positive results that might occur during the time of involvement are the result of the participant’s own choices.

Privacy

Parlour ANNEXE is conducted under the terms of Parlour’s Privacy Policy.

  • Parlour Inc will not share specific contact or personal information about participants in the Parlour ANNEXE with non-members or any third parties, unless this is a requirement for COVID-safe event protocols. 
  • Parlour Inc will not share specific contact or personal information about participants in the Parlour ANNEXE with other members other than when consensually assigning the participant to a group (name and contact details only).
  • Parlour ANNEXE groups are a safe space for open discussions. Discussions and information shared should be treated respectfully, and remain confidential unless consent to discuss outside of the group has been explicitly agreed.

Communications

  • Parlour ANNEXE group convenor communications with Parlour will be via email, unless otherwise agreed between Parlour and the participant.

Termination

  • Parlour Inc has a right to terminate participation in the Parlour ANNEXE if any of the terms and conditions outlined in this document are violated.

Disclaimer

  • Parlour Inc has established Parlour ANNEXE as a benefit for the Parlour Collective. While Parlour supports the work within Parlour ANNEXE, Parlour is not responsible for the management of the groups. These are initiated and managed by the convener, with Parlour available to assist as set out in the Convener’s Guide document.
