Laura Wynne

Dr Laura Wynne has a PhD in social science and currently works in research on sustainable futures. Her doctoral research focused on the experiences of residents being displaced due to public housing estate redevelopment. She's also a Senior Research Consultant at the Institute for Sustainable Futures at the University of Technology Sydney, where she work on a range of issues relating to planning, sustainability and urban transitions. Laura has a Masters of Planning from UNSW.

Her recent research focuses have included peri-urban agriculture, public housing renewal and sustainable practices around burial and cremation.

She is a member of the Radical Housing Journal’s Extended Editorial Collective, and a non-fiction reader for Overland. Her writing has been published in Meanjin, Overland, The Conversation, Commotion, and The Lifted Brow, among other publications.
