Associate Professor at the Institute of History and Heritage, Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism (FAU), University of Chile. Adjunct Professor in the School of Global, Urban and Social Studies, RMIT University, Australia. Teaching in the areas of sustainable urban development, heritage, and interventions in public space. Beatriz graduated in Architecture at RMIT University, later undertook a Master of Urban Design and a PhD from the University of Melbourne. She has practiced as an architect and urban designer for the Ministry of Housing and Development and the City of Darebin (Melbourne) and in the design of residential and community buildings. Beatriz is the founder of Architects for Peace (www.architectsforpeace.org).
