We have a fantastic Summer Salon coming up! Join Parlour and AWS for a great conversation between Karen Burns and Jos Boys about decades of feminist activism in architecture.

This is an extra special Seasonal Salon. Parlour’s own Karen Burns is joined by Jos Boys. Based in London, Jos has produced a remarkable body of work over decades – she was co-founder of Matrix feminist architects practice in 1979 and co-author of book Making Space: women and the man-made environment (1984). More recent work includes The Dis/Ordinary Architecture Project and the book Doing Disability Differently. Karen and Jos are both sharp-witted and wry, with fantastic stories to tell – a conversation between them is not to be missed!

Of course, the Parlour Salons are also always about you. This is another opportunity to meet new people, swap stories and strategies, form new networks and revive older ones. And simply enjoy the company of some of the great women of Melbourne architecture and the built environment over a glass of wine.

Emerging or established, practitioner or involved in architecture and the built environment in other ways, we encourage all to join us.
