I am an international scholar and leader with over 15 years of experience in teaching, research and industry practice in multiple international contexts, thereby facilitating the transfer of knowledge (research outcomes and training) to the industry. I also served at the Executive Director of CIFAL Newcastle till 2020. The center is affiliated with the parent body the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).

My areas of interest and expertise on fostering resilience of people and buildings. My work on resilience of people focusses on enabling the resilience communities and organisations and adaptive capacity, while the work on resilience of buildings focusses on Heritage Preservation, maintenance and Adaptive Reuse of Heritage, climate change Adaptation and providing evidence-based outcomes for policy interventions.

I have led the development and implementation of several innovative projects in the above areas and worked together with strategic partners at local and international organisations levels. Outcomes from these projects have been widely published over 80 scholarly works.
