Sonja completed her architectural studies at the University of Applied Sciences in Münster, Germany in 1998. Her industry experience in Germany has provided her with a thorough understanding of documentation and construction detailing.
In moving to Melbourne in 2004 her responsibilities evolved to design, documentation and contract administration on a range of educational projects.
Since joining Denton Corker Marshall in January 2008, Sonja has predominantly been involved in research, educational and healthcare projects.
Her keen interest in improving the quality of processes as well as strong organisational skills contributed to the successful completion of large tertiary education projects in Victoria and NSW.
Sonja completed a masters degree in project management at Melbourne’s RMIT in 2010, which provided her with enhanced skills in leadership and management, including project scoping, scheduling, procurement, communication and client relationships.
Sonja has been a guest critic and sessional tutor for several Universities as well as a supportive mentor to the next generation of architects in the DCM studio.
