After 13 years of experience across Australia, Nancy established Nancy Lau Architect in Cairns as a collaborative and refreshing approach to provide architectural services and human-centred design consultancy. She has a diverse portfolio ranging from modest residential renovations to primary schools working with private and government clients.

Nancy has experience working in Indigenous welfare reform and applying design methodologies to customer service delivery and policy process. She has a particular interest in remote and Indigenous projects and adds value by exploring opportunities for community led development

Nancy has a distinctive design approach and facilitates community engagement for stakeholders to explore projects, solve problems together and learn from each other. She is committed to collaboratively working with clients and users by implementing design methods and processes to create crafted and considered design.

She has volunteered for Indigenous Community Volunteers in photographic and architecture projects and previously held university design and theory tutoring positions.
