Nicolette DiLernia

Nicolette is the SA Executive Director for the Australian Institute of Architects, coming to the role in 2015 following 23 years in architectural practice. After graduating she worked initially with Hodgkison Architects before moving to Grieve Gillett Andersen Architects, becoming an associate in 2010.

Nicolette has been involved in the delivery of projects primarily within the cultural, arts and education sectors. Projects in which she has been involved have consistently delivered coherent outcomes that retain design intent, meet functional and technical requirements and, most importantly, are enjoyed by occupants.

As Executive Director Nicolette enjoys applying her experience and passion for architecture in ways that are not always possible in practice. Two key area are raising public awareness and advocating for excellence in architectural education. Most of all, Nicolette enjoys engaging with the profession to celebrate their achievements and support them in practice.
