I am a broad-based management, communications, and advocacy specialist with over 30 years’ experience in the built environment, social justice, community development, and environment sectors in Australia, Asia, and the Pacific.
Currently I am working as Policy and Program Manager at ASBEC - the Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council (ASBEC). ASBEC is the peak body of key organisations committed to a sustainable built environment in Australia.
Through 2020 I was interim Executive Director of Open House Melbourne. Prior to that I was Victorian Executive Director of the Australian Institute of Architects from late 2010 through to late 2017. Before that I worked in several roles with both Oxfam and the Australian Conservation Foundation, including the role of Oxfam International’s Tsunami Policy Lead following the 2004 Asian Tsunami.
I have worked with a diverse range of organisations, including professional associations; social justice, environment, and international development NGOs; international foundations; entertainment and arts organisations; trade unions; large corporations and local government associations.
I am a director of Parlour and in recent years have also had non-executive board roles with not-for-profit Boards, including Architects Without Frontiers and Open House Melbourne.
I have a Masters of International Studies, a Graduate Diploma Industrial Relations and a Bachelor of Arts Communications. I swing on a trapeze for relaxation.
