Catherine Baudet Architect

Catherine is a director of Catherine Baudet Architect and a Life Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects.
She was educated at the University of Queensland, graduating with a Bachelor of Design Studies in 1975 and a Bachelor of Architecture in 1979.
She became a Director in her father’s firm in 1983 after successful registration with the Board of Architects, and was co-founder of the Women in Architecture Association in that same year.
Catherine has a significant body of architectural work, spanning across the education, health, aged care and residential sectors.
Through her long-standing membership of 40 years with the Australian Institute of Architects, Catherine has played a pivotal role in shaping policy recommendations for architects and the building and construction industry in general. She is currently a member of the Chapter Council at the Institute of Architects and serves on the Practice Committee. She is also a member of the Association of Consulting Architects.
She was recently awarded the Australian Institute of Architects Inaugural Paula Whitman Leadership in Gender Equity Prize
Catherine is member the Building and Development Dispute Resolution Committee, and is on the visiting panel for the school of Architecture at Griffith University.
She is a member of the advisory board for the School of Architecture, University of Queensland.
