Lynda Roberts
Principal / Senior AdvisorPublic Assembly / RMIT University
Lynda Roberts is principal of Public Assembly, a interdisciplinary studio focused on the social dynamics of public space.
Drawing on her early career experience with Virginia Kerridge Architect, Sydney and post-graduate studies in architecture and creative arts in Melbourne, Lynda operates at the intersection of design, art and civic systems.
She has worked in local government, tertiary and creative sectors as a program leader, teacher and artist. Lynda often approaches projects in situ, co-creating experiences that privilege context, collaboration and experimentation as an expanded form of architecture.
She continues this work as Senior Advisor of Creative Communities at RMIT University and remains a committed advocate for the critical role artists and designers play within our built environment.
Lynda lives and works on the unceded traditional lands of the Boon Wurrung and Woi Wurrung peoples. Lands that have long been a place of learning, teaching and creativity.
