With over 25 years of experience in property, construction, design and development, Annie’s expertise lies in guiding great design and place outcomes through complex revitalisation projects. With an adept understanding of the planning & development process, as Director Design and Place at Placemaking NSW, Annie supports NSW Government deliver rich place outcomes that reflect and create international best practice.
Annie has developed and nurtured relationships and projects that celebrate Country. As such, she works with design, development and delivery teams to make their buildings and public spaces more engaging, responsive, respectful and appropriate to our heritage, culture and climate. Annie also has experience leading social and environmental sustainability, public art and public domain on development projects, Diversity and Inclusion strategies and designing with Country initiatives.
Annie has worked for the Government Architect's Office, Lendlease, HASSELL and Hood Design (USA). Annie has a B.Arch from UNSW and a Master of Urban Design from the University of California Berkeley. From 2006 to 2008, Annie was President of the NSW Chapter of National Association of Women in Construction. Annie was also the inaugural Global Diversity and Inclusion Manager for Lendlease between 2008-2011, developing the first business case and structure for the company globally. Annie is on the UNSW ADA Faculty Advisory Panel and is non-Indigenous Co-Chair of Reconciliation NSW.
