Felicity Gartelmann Architect

Felicity’s diverse international and national project experience spans almost 20 years. She has worked predominantly across public, cultural, education and community sectors in a range of capacities on projects including the Sydney Opera House Western Foyer Upgrade and the New Scottish Parliament Building.

She is an advocate for positive civic, social, cultural and environmental outcomes. Her practice seeks to understand relevant contemporary issues, connect people with places and find joyful opportunities amongst constraints. Felicity is an active member of the architecture community, has been a regular guest critic at UNSW and UniSA and is currently teaching as a design studio leader at Adelaide University.

Felicity is a recipient of the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) State Chapter Graduate Award, Bates Smart Graduate Award, the Walter and Dorothy Duncan Trust Grant, the Architect’s Board of South Australia Travelling Prize, Boral Building and Construction Award, AIA Chapter Prize B Arch 1, Ruth Gibson Memorial Prize and the Woods Bagot Scholarship for Academic and Design Excellence.
