As a passionate architect and Ph.D. holder, my academic and professional journey commenced with a bachelor's degree in architecture from Cairo University, sparking my interest in environmental sustainability. During my Master's in Integrated Engineering Project Management, I simultaneously contributed to an Egyptian architecture firm and taught at Cairo University.
I have had the privilege of sharing my expertise in prestigious institutions such as Cairo University, the AASMT, Northumbria University, and presently at the University of Tasmania. My diverse teaching portfolio encompasses courses in architecture and sustainability.
My Ph.D. journey at Northumbria University delved into the integration of digital construction, collaborating with U.K. Architecture SMEs to automate Embodied Carbon calculations. Participation in a Cambridge University CDDB-funded research project on the Digital Energy Estimation Tool (DEET) further enhanced my proficiency in digital integration.
I am interested to seamlessly incorporate sustainable assessments into architectural design processes, equipping practitioners with decision-informing tools. Committed to fostering a dynamic learning environment, I aim to advance the architectural field through the synergy of technology and sustainability.
