20+ years in architecture has taught me a thing or two about good design and great builds. And my persistence in making any brief, budget and timeline work has earned me a Macgyver-esque reputation in the industry.
But it’s not just persistence that gets results for the clients and projects I work on.
It’s a stubborn creative optimism that sees constraints as possibilities and that hears “it can’t be done” as an invitation for innovation.
It’s a meticulous attention to every single detail because even the smallest things impact function and feel.
It’s a hands-on approach to leading the team, delivering projects and working with clients.
And it’s a willingness to leave my ego at the door and take on any challenge with humility and humour.
Over my career, I’ve worked with local and international clients across the full scope of projects from master planning to concept design to contractor management and post-contract works.
And since 2016 I’ve owned, managed and led TMAD now Ink Duck as Principal Architect on residential, commercial, education and community projects.
Still reckon it can’t be done? We’ll see about that.
