Aiste Strazdaite
ArchitectAiste is an established architect originally hailing from Lithuania and has called Melbourne home for nearly a decade.
Her love of travel encouraged her to move from her hometown to the UK where she completed her study in Manchester before moving to Australia and achieving her registration. Her experience has seen her pursue architectural projects on three continents including charity initiatives in Nepal, building earth-bag schools in Malawi and undertaking funded research into bio-plastics in the UK.
Her design approach leverages her passion for arts, culture and the built environment, intertwining these in a narrative-based approach whilst not losing sight of her personal experiences, creative material exploration and innovative thinking. Each project as an opportunity to deliver loveable spaces that are people-centric, responsive, functional and beautiful.
Aiste has experience across multiple typologies ranging from creative installations, boutique single residential homes and high-end hospitality schemes through to large scale residential, commercial and infrastructure projects both internationally and in Australia. She is adept not only in navigating complex design challenges and consultant coordination but also the finer scale of interiors, connections and details.
