Elizabeth is Director at Swanbury Penglase and an Interior Designer. With over 25 years of experience, she leads the interiors team, managing existing projects and clients while continuing to build new working relationships.

She is part of the second generation of Swanbury Penglase, following her father (an architect) and founding Director along this path.

Elizabeth is an advocate for the specialist skills the interiors discipline brings to all projects. The design of interiors necessarily focuses on the human elements, how we interact and use space, with good design a powerful tool in shaping the quality of that experience.

She is also passionate about what women bring to the profession and ensuring that their skills and knowledge are seen and valued as part of the design process and the construction industry more broadly.

As her career as progressed, she has developed expertise in brief development and early engagement with clients. Getting to see ‘behind the curtain’ of the people and organisations we work with is one of the great privileges of the job and feeds her natural curiosity.

It also reinforces how we are all connected and that places and spaces that enhance our personal and working lives benefit us all.
