Owner and director of Element Design Studio, Michelle has spent 18 years in the interior design industry before making the change into architecture. Changing career and studying full time in her 40s, while raising 2 small children (1 with special needs), volunteering, and sitting on design committees comes with its challenges, though Michelle continues to advocate for women / mature aged students, correcting insane perceptions of being expected to “balance” or “take it all on”. Michelle also advocates for women’s safety in the workplace, from physical, emotional and neurological perspectives.
