Mimi Tsai


Dr. Mimi Tsai is an academic and expert in designing and planning for health and wellbeing. She is the recipient of the 2022-2023 John Oxley Fellowship, Queensland Memory Awards with a project titled, Vernacular Landscapes and Queensland Memories: Exploring Queensland’s resilience through narratives of therapeutic environments. In research, she applies co-creative digital storytelling as an innovative approach to engage marginalised communities. She has an exemplary track record of collaborative research projects and published findings in top tier peer reviewed journals. She is the Chair of the National and 2023 Chair of Australian Institute Landscape Architects Award Jury (Queensland), Queensland Advocacy Committee of Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA), which voices and influences decisions within political, economic and social institutions.
