Sustainable architecture is important to Amber. She has completed numerous short courses to extend her knowledge in this space, having participated in Earthship Biotecture’s Earthship Academy in New Mexico, Viva Homes Straw Bale Building Course and the Kul Kul Farms’ Permaculture Design Course in Bali. She pursues a vegan and zero waste existence.
More recently, Amber is looking forward to undertaking registration and to continue her knowledge of how to decenter settler-colonial perspectives in architecture.
Amber views architects as relationship builders and architecture as a system, how architects set up various opportunities for people to relate to one another, and to be empowered to make change as a collective. Having spent time volunteering in a remote Indigenous community in Western Australia, Amber is passionate about using architecture to impact the fabric of our social culture and to aid in addressing inequality.
