Rachel is an Associate at Hodyl & Co where she leads the organisation's urban research team. A qualified sociologist and public policy professional, Rachel specialises in policy-oriented research focused on equality in urban environments.

Rachel is also the Research Program Leader for Cities People Love, an organisation dedicated to the creation and curation of urban research that can engage and empower communities and challenge city decision makers to deliver cities people love.

Rachel's sociological research focuses on experience and learning in public housing environments. Her current PhD with the Centre for Urban Transitions at Swinburne University explores residents lived experiences within the processes guiding the delivery of mixed-income public housing estate redevelopment projects. She has also published research with the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute (AHURI) on evaluation and learning in public housing urban renewal.

With a background in community housing, homelessness and community development, Rachel's work is informed by a commitment to addressing the inequalities which characterise contemporary society.
