ITaukei (Indigenous Fijian) Feminist and Indigenous architectural researcher. I am the founding director of WomenBuild Australia, a Sydney-based women’s community development and research practice that partners and collaborates with women’s groups and organisations to design and build resilient homes in rural Fijian villages drawing from Indigenous Fijian Knowledge systems to indigenise the process of decolonising space and engaging Fijian women to create civic and domestic environments tailored to their identities and needs. I am also a strong women’s advocate seeking to encourage and support increasing the number of Pacific women entering architecture and private practice.
