As an architect and urban designer at Arup, Mengi seeks to find practical, enduring design solutions–grounded in first principles–that help build a more just and sustainable world. Committed to intergenerational learning, Mengi has taught architecture and design at UNSW, Yale University and in public middle school programs.

Drawing on her comprehensive design, communication, and organisational skills, Mengi has contributed to award-winning projects of various scales and types – including art galleries, public buildings, residential, commercial, and mixed-use buildings, as well as campus and urban masterplans – in both Australia and the United States.

Mengi is a polyglot – using her fluency across languages and skillsets to explore complex design problems. Her work aspires to build a more ecologically, culturally, and economically viable future through meaningful contributions of architecture and urban design.
