Kate is an architect and urbanist. Her career has traversed state and local government - designing and documenting public architecture, establishing design review processes, and writing strategic planning policy. Kate currently lives and works on Dharawal Country. She is the co-chair of Designers in Government NSW, who aim to bring together built environment designers working across state and local governments to build capacity and knowledge, and raise the profile of the role of designers in government settings to the wider design industry.
