I am an educational planner and researcher working for DLR Group and based in Austin, Texas. I completed my PhD at the University of Melbourne's Graduate School of Education and have focused my career on viewing the design of learning environments as a part of their larger organizational system. My doctoral work sought to bridge the contextual divide between Australia and the United States, looking into 1) how designers talk about their school designs and how this compares to how "innovative learning environments" are being utilized and 2) how specific physical and organizational supports encourage them to work as envisioned.

My background is in architecture, psychology, and human-environment relations and I love discussing the intersection of these subjects and how we can design better with them in mind.
