Alison is an architect and design manager who specialises in accessibility and inclusion in the built environment. She has worked across both public and private sectors with a focus on education environments.

Alison’s passion for inclusive architecture and designing for dignity includes the following achievements:

• Developing a proposal for change to update the NCC 2025 to include all-gender amenities as a deemed to satisfy solution. This included consulting widely across industry and received more than 50 statements of support from professional bodies, government departments and architectural practices across Australia.

• Co-founder and chair of the TAFE NSW Physical Access Advisory Committee. This is a group of staff with lived and professional experience of disability that provide design advice to upcoming infrastructure projects to improve inclusive outcomes

• Development of design standards to inform future infrastructure projects and ensuring digital accessibility of the finished documents
