Principal Project ManagerDept. of Finance
Deepti is a passionate architect with over 20 years of experience working on public, education, community, residential and specialist projects across Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East.
Deepti is a strategic thinker with a wholistic approach to every project. She believes in creating spaces that are
sustainable in their nature either by their very use and outcome, or through flexibility of use, passive design, and impact to the environment. With particular attention to design & detail within varied budget and time constraints, Deepti’s approach is collaborative, user-driven and inclusive to ensure the best outcome for every project, no matter the scale.
Deepti has worked in senior roles at Cox Architecture & Gresley Abas, in addition to the Design Lead role within the Edith Cowan University Projects & Planning Team. Currently, Deepti is a Principal Project Manager at Department of Finance, providing design and technical review on complex state govt projects.
Deepti is a strong advocate of passive solar design, also having undertaken several small passively designed residential projects over her career, including her own Net Zero Energy communal home in Perth in 2011. She collaborates with university / organisations, conducts lectures / seminars with the aim to make sustainable architecture accessible to anyone and to spread awareness about low energy use, bio-based materials and high-quality building envelope design.
