Eloise Atkinson LFRAIA is a Brisbane-based architect with more than 30 years experience. Her career has largely focused on education and social and affordable housing. She has advocated for well-designed housing through her role as Independent Chair of BHC, Queensland’s largest CHP and has served on the board for over 17 years.

After more than 29 years with Deicke Richards, Eloise stepped down from the practice in late 2023 where she was managing director for the last 11 years. She maintains her connection by taking on the role of Practice Partner.

Eloise is a recipient of The AV Jennings Churchill Fellowship and sits on the Queensland selection committee. She holds several other committee roles with not-for-profit organisations who are focused on housing and homelessness including Sharing with Friends (SWF), a foundation with an innovative plan to address older women’s housing needs and the risk of homelessness.

Eloise has performed myriad roles for the Architecture Institute of Australia Awards, including Chair of the 2021 Queensland State Awards.
