Shannon is an architect and the founding director of Canberra based studio THE MILL: ARCHITECTURE + DESIGN with co-director designer Sarah Welsh. Shannon was the National President for the Australian Institute of Architects 2022-23, is an Honorary Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and the Royal Architects Institute of Canada. Shannon is a director on multiple boards and is the Chair of the Institute's Foundation Board. She is an accomplished public speaker, avid photographer and published writer.
