Sonia is a director at andever and registered architect with over 18 years local and international industry experience.

Alongside practice, Sonia teaches at Melbourne School of Design (MSD) and sits on various Boards within and outside the industry.

More importantly, she is a mentor to many, an advocate for diversity and a mum of two.

She is the child of immigrants to the Middle East who then undertook her own migration journeys to Singapore and finally Naarm / Melbourne as an international student. The duality of being an insider-outsider as a result of these multiple journeys is one that has deeply shaped her and her practice.
