Liza Neil is the Principal Architect at Moreton Bay Regional Council, having spent 4 years in that role at Sunshine Coast Council. Prior to Public Service she worked for amazing Architects in Byron Bay, Eumundi, Whitsundays, Brisbane and Tasmania before starting an award-winning practice in Caloundra and doing everything from eco-resorts, houses, toilet blocks, education and up to a large solar-powered, sustainable, regenerative factory, whilst also juggling 3 children and way too many pets for 27 years! She is a Board Member of Creative Arts Alliance, Fellow of the AIA, Chair of the AIA Sunshine Coast, and member of Regional Affairs, CASC and QEDIC committees. Liza has never given up learning, teaching at 4 Universities and attempting Urban Design postgraduate studies at UQ, whilst also absorbing the Moreton Bay Region’s people, space, unique character and the impacts of design for climate in the place between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.
