Beatriz Marchiori

Architect Principal
Instant Design Architecture

Passionate about art, people, and nature, Beatriz Marchiori is the name behind Instant Design, an architectural firm based on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, Queensland. With a Bachelor’s in Architecture and Urban Design, and a Degree in Applied Computer Graphics, Beatriz is a registered architect in Queensland and also in Brazil, from where she moved in a few years ago.
Having over 20 years of experience in the industry, Beatriz was responsible for designing quite a few new dwellings and renovations. Working for well-known developers in Brazil, she designed multi-residential buildings, as well as offices and retail stores. Since she has a dual qualification, she also worked as a town planner, coordinating 5 master plan revisions and collaborating with 7 others, as a consultant for local city councils in her homeland.
Before coming to Australia, Beatriz was a professor at the Federal University of Parana, one of the most prestigious tertiary institutions in Brazil, teaching architecture and urban design. Having a Ph.D. in Geography, with an emphasis in Landscape and Environmental Analysis, she produced a thesis on legal mechanisms for the protection of water resources within urban areas, being a researcher on this theme.
Recently, she launched an initiative called “The Green Home Movement” which aims to increase awareness on themes such as green building, eco-design, and bioclimatic architecture. As the principal architect at Instant Design, Beatriz believes an architect’s mission is to help transform the world into a better place, more beautiful, more human, and more sustainable.
