I’m the Co-founder and Director of Architects&Co., a female-led architectural and interior design practice based in Perth, WA, and a Committee Member of the ACA (Association of Consulting Architects). After a decade of working in boutique architectural practice, I left Perth to climb a mountain in Russia (as you do) and then design and manage the construction of a preschool in India. The project was part of the Australian NGO ‘The Anganwadi Project’ whose mission is to educate, support and elevate disadvantaged people (primarily children and women) in impoverished communities. The experience was life-changing, of course, and upon returning to Perth, I started Architects&Co., with the vision of breaking away from the traditional mould of the architecture world by creating a value-driven studio. The studio centres around developing meaningful relationships, creating thoughtful spaces that play host to diverse voices and cultures, paying it forward to others in the community, and collaborating with other amazing women in the industry.
