Nicole Gardner
Director of Computational Design, ArchitectUNSW
I am the Director of Computational Design in the School of Built Environment, UNSW, a Chief Investigator for the ARC Centre for Next-Gen Architectural Manufacturing, and an Australian Registered Architect (NSW 7921). Drawing on over twelve years of practice experience in Adelaide, London and Sydney, my research explores digital transformation in design and architecture through the lenses of gender, history, labour, learning and sustainable design. I convene courses on the history and theory of architectural computing and urban technology, and lead the graduation design research project. I am committed to modes of research and teaching that connect theory and practice and researchers and industry.
