Felicity Watson

Heritage Planner

Felicity Watson is a Melbourne-based heritage specialist who has 20 years of experience across consultancy, public history, the not-for-profit sector, and local government.

With a multidisciplinary approach across heritage, history, and urban planning, Felicity is passionate about advocating for the protection of places with special value to communities, and promoting the contribution that heritage conservation can make to vibrant, liveable, and sustainable cities. As an advocate, she also actively works to expand professional and public conceptions of heritage to be more relevant and inclusive.

She has an established voice in the media as a spokesperson on heritage and planning issues, and has appeared as a public speaker for a range of industry and public programs including MPavilion and the Australian Heritage Festival. Felicity also delivers guest lectures to postgraduate students at institutions including Melbourne University, Deakin University, and RMIT.

Felicity is currently working as Heritage Coordinator at Wyndham City Council, one of Australia's fastest growing municipalities.
