Landscape Architect, Researcher and Writer

Emma is a landscape architect, researcher, and writer based in Melbourne. Over eleven years of professional practice she has worked on a variety of public and private design projects, including The Museum of New and Old Art (MONA), The City of Sydney Cycleways scheme, competition-winning designs for the Korean War Memorial (Sydney) and Boer War Memorial (Canberra) and various parks, school gardens and play spaces located throughout Australia.

Emma is currently completing a Ph.D. at the University of Tasmania, exploring issues around the development of former institutional cemeteries. She is a passionate design communicator and contributes regularly to academic journals and design publications, has presented at academic conferences, contributes her time as a university guest lecturer and jury critic, and has taught a variety of subjects in Landscape Architecture at the University of NSW and The University of Tasmania.
