Kate, a registered architect with over a decade of national and international design experience, has been recognised both in academic and professional settings with accolades from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA).

In 2022, she won the AIA's Emerging Architect Award in the ACT and was shortlisted for the Dulux Tour, highlighting her exceptional contributions to architectural practice, research, and education in Australia.

Kate's expertise aligns with Cumulus Studio's ethos, emphasising spatial efficiency, smart and sustainable design, and a commitment to creating spaces integrated with their surroundings and communities.

She actively engages in pushing design and construction boundaries, experimenting with ways to rationalise and express complex concepts through thoughtful graphics. Her interactions with students in the design studio prove mutually beneficial, contributing to both her professional development and the students' future endeavours.

With a diverse portfolio spanning education, multi-residential, and retail sectors, Kate has worked on projects ranging from small-scale homes in the ACT to multi-million dollar developments in the UK. Beyond her architectural practice, she has written articles for Sanctuary Magazine, serves as a sessional tutor and design studio convener at the University of Canberra, contributes to the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia's National Examination Paper, and previously served as a board member of the Canberra Street Theatre.
